AdSense Deluxe Doesn’t Work On Wordpress 2.3.2

I started this home business blog last week and installed several Wordpress plugins into this new blog to make blog on-page customization and AdSense placement easier. The plugins I have installed are All In One SEO Pack, AdSense Deluxe, Akismet and Mighty AdSense. I activated and set up each of them smoothly except AdSense Deluxe plugin.

The AdSense Deluxe is a popular AdSense plugin that provides a number of good features allowing Wordpress bloggers to display their AdSense in different locations within theirThe Plug post entries. This plugin really impresses me because it enables me to insert my AdSense into high CTR area. But unfortunately, I wasn’t able to use it on my blog. I have tried a few times to set up this plugin, but it never work. I got a this error message every time my set up failed.

Cannot load adsense-deluxe.php

I have no idea what causes this problem happens. So I went to Google and done a few searches. Google returned me a lot of information related to this problem but still I cannot find a good explanation and solution to this error. There are a few other bloggers who have installed Wordpress 2.3.2 commented that they encounter the problem similar to mine. One of them said that AdSense Deluxe cannot be use in Wordpress 2.3.2. So I guess this plugin isn’t compatible to the new Wordpress 2.3.2.

I need to place AdSense ads on this blog but AdSense Deluxe doesn’t work. So I search again in Google to look for another close alternative of AdSense Deluxe. Thanks to the Adsense plugin lists compiled by several other bloggers, I quickly found another good one which is Mighty AdSense. Mighty AdSense is easy to set up.

With Mighty AdSense you can choose to place your AdSense at the top left, top right or the bottom of your blog post. And you can also choose to have different ads placement for your first, second and third posts. Plus, you don’t need to go to your theme editor to add any special code to your theme. All you have to is paste your AdSense code into a column, select your ad location and you will see your AdSense display on your blog post.

However, I noticed a weaknesses of Mighty AdSense. If you display your ad at the top left or top right of your blog post, your AdSense will not align with the first sentence of your post. Your AdSense location will be a little lower than your first sentence. This alignment problem isn’t serious but it can reduce your AdSense CTR by a few percentage.

So did you install adsense-deluxe-v0.8 recently, activated it successfully and end up with this error.

    Cannot load adsense-deluxe.php

To fix this problem copy the adsense-deluxe.php file from the wp-content/plugins/adsense-deluxe_wp_plugin_v0.8 into the parent wp-content/plugins folder and then it’ll load great. I found the solution at on blog

I got this working by copying the .php file to the root of the plugins folder as tullius suggests. Thanks tullius!
